Position Description:

An excellent Senior QA Engineer has eyes like a hawk, and solid experience in the art and science of quality control.

The goal is to assure the high quality of our operations and services aiming to the long-term success of our business. You will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues. Your word will influence go/no-go decisions about product releases.

Our ideal candidate will think like a manager, dream like a test architect, and work diligently to maintain the high quality of our industry-leading machine learning product.

Responsibilities:

  • Design test processes from Agile specifications.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

  • Ensuring automated coverage of smoke tests, regression tests, integration tests, and more.

  • Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Provide detailed reports and analytics about Product bugs to the Product Owner and Engineering to ensure immediate action.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

  • Design, develop and execute automation for tests using open source tools.

  • Record and document debugging procedures.

  • Track Quality Assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, to gain and share insights about quality issues.

  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years proven work experience in software Quality Assurance.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

  • Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  • Hands-on experience with open-source automated testing tools

  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Some knowledge of cloud-based application architecture and principles preferred.

  • Team management and mentoring experience -- either direct or matrixed -- preferred.

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent experience preferred.

Candidates should be comfortable wearing a variety of hats and adding value in multiple ways throughout the organization. Position Description:
You will be responsible for extending eBrevia’s core intelligent document analysis web application to include additional features needed to serve our current and future markets.

Qualifications

  • Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, performance characteristics) with a BS or graduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

  • Demonstrated coding expertise, with 4-6 years’ experience with Java/Javascript in nontrivial team software projects ideal, though we are language agnostic and will accept talented candidates with similar abilities in other languages.

  • Fluency in UX and product design from an engineering perspective, and willingness to learn about the legal industry and our customers' needs, able to work directly with product managers and UI/UX designers.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audience.

  • Architecture and systems experience: must be able to build modules that are scalable, fault tolerant, as well as designing architectures that are intuitive and extensible for other engineers.

Position Description:
You will lead eBrevia’s initiatives to advance its core intelligent document analysis web application and push the frontier of NLP / machine learning capabilities on text datasets.

Responsibilities:

  • Design experiments and evaluate and implement models to process legal language, including document classification, information extraction, resolving references, and anomaly detection.

  • Translate successful experiments into production-quality code.

  • Work independently to design and implement new NLP-based features. Consult with subject matter experts and understand how to apply NLP/ML techniques to solve their business problems.

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background, with a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing or related discipline. Publications in relevant journals is a strong plus (ACL, NIPS, ICML).

  • Demonstrated coding expertise in any major language, plus experience with version control tools. Experience building large scale data or text-processing pipelines beyond academic projects.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audience.

  • Additional mathematics/statistical background a plus.

  • Ability to design new functionality or improve product with little guidance.
